Muppet Mania!

My kids each got a muppet last year for birthdays and we have built up quite a collection. Something about muppets is just...happy.  It's gotta be the constant smile.  I've written about it once found HERE.  I really want one of those new Muppet kids found at Toys R Us.  They are part of the FAO Schwarz line of toys.  Looks like this:

Anyway...here are our new friends.

I love this picture so much!

Library's

As you know, I have a "thing" for cute libraries.  Here is a door of a school library that I thought was creative.

French Fry Mountain

Ever make up a new word or phrase?  Well, in our family, we have what's called the French Fry Mountain where all fries go to one pile and is shared.  I love my daughters face in the background.  Looks yummy!

I miss Elmo

Is it just me or do you feel a little guilty showing your kids Elmo because of recent allegations.  Here are some of my favorite Elmo moments.

Timpanogos Renaissance Festival

For girl scouts, my daughter was asked to do a service project by volunteering at the Timpanogos Renaissance Festival.  She helped make rope made of old fabric.  We followed that up with some snow cones and a walk around the park.  Fun and free for volunteers.

Baby Language

A friend of mine loaned me these two DVD's when I had my latest baby.  I'd heard of the baby language one but not the happiest baby one.  Oprah had done a special on the sounds babies use to communicate and this DVD is the teaching product from those creators.  I found it to be long and a little over marketed.  The five sounds did seem to make a lot of sense, but I still think that each mother can understand their baby's signals after a few days or weeks without it becoming so scientific.

The Happiest Baby movie explained the four steps that can help a parent to calm their baby using the 5 s's found HERE.  I liked the swaddling part the best while the Shhh part was a little weird, I thought.

Preschool

This is my son Miles drawing from preschool.  Can you guess what it is?

He is standing in a field of flowers.

Pretty good for a five year old!
